I was invited to the Yamaha US factory recently to check out the V
series and their new brass reversible barrels. If you have problems with
a Yamaha it should be just as easy as dealing with Buffet - I met a
couple of techs at the factory who were doing post sales work in a very
well equipped shop. Such after sales work may not have been easy to get
in the past, but it appears as if it is easy to get now. Yamaha is very
responsive to emails to their US factory; my son had lost his Yamaha
scholarship application and they faxed him a new one, and my interest in
their brass barrel led to a full day tour and tryout of equipment at
their Grand Rapids facility.
