A hard rubber mouthpiece would be better.

Actually, it is closer to $30.

In my opinion, this is a much better mouthpiece than the first one you
list. I own one, and I recommend it to students who don't want to spend
more than $28-30. It is plastic, but Clark's Debut is excellent.
