A copy of the Mozart Winterthur fragment is now available at
http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/Music/Manuscripts/Winterthur/
There's no index page or anything like that yet - you'll just see a
simple listing of the files.

It is contained in 12 files, each containing a ZIP'd TIFF file. The copy
provided by Tony Pay was scanned in using 300 DPI grayscale. Each compressed
file is about 5 Mb; uncompressed the files take about 83Mb. Figure on 6 hours
to download all 12 files if you have a 56Kb modem.

Tony also sent along a copy of the Brahms Trio manuscript. This manuscript
is considerably larger than the Mozart. It will also take me longer to scan
in; the format is larger than my home scanner will take so I'll have to dredge
up that large format scanner or see if one of my buddies can scan the images
on a drum scanner.

I will be offering all and any manuscripts scanned in and available on Sneezy
as a CDROM offering, just like I do for the Klarinet Archives. I'd like
to wait a bit before offering the current images, because it isn't enough
to really make use of the space available on the CDROM. Once the Brahms is
done - maybe then. The cost will be somewhere around $7.00/CD
USA/Canada/Mexico, $10.00/CD elsewhere including S&H.

Have fun!
