We simply cannot afford to carry a line on which we will lose money on
every sale. Due to volume discounts, we could buy them from WW & BW for
less that we can buy them directly from Boosey and Hawkes. That makes it
rather difficult to compete. Mind you, I am not complaining about the
volume discount policy. We gain the advantage on some lines ourselves.
But our volume with B & H would never be enough. So the boss, making a
sound BUSINESS decision, dropped them.

I am looking at your question,answer with Roger like everybody I think on
this list and I try not to participate to give a break to our friends on
line.Howerer I have to jump on the latest post since you are saying things
that are not true. First of all you cannot by direcly from us we sell only to
authorized dealers and second the Woodwind and The Brasswind do their
business the way they want we do not have any control of it as well as the
other Mail order compagny.I am little bit desapointed to see your post even
if I think some of the things I read may be true we are working hard to make
the best product we can. For the part where you said we do special things for
special people I can tell you that you are whrong I receive any one who want
me to work on their instrument Pro or students and I will always do. To me a
person that own a Buffet deserve all my attention no matter the position. I
have done that for 16 years and will continue this is part of the heritage my
Master gave to me.
I hope you will find one day an instrument you will like from Buffet and I
will work harder to make it happening.
