That was what I had available to me at that time. Those who have tried
hundreds and made their selection on that basis, WHATEVER the selection may
be, should be be believed that the clarinet they selected was the best one
for them, as long as they did not limit their search to one brand due to
the bias of their teachers, etc.

I'm not badmouthing them. I want to know if the unflattering comments I
have heard about some of their products are limited to those products, or
are endemic to clarinets in general. So far, I have heard a lot of silence
regarding the competition.

It means that the repairs were professionally done. There was no tell-tale
indication that anything had been done. I only knew that repairs had been
made because the shop told me so. If it had been in that condition when it
originally arrived at the store, there would be no cause to beef.

At the risk of drawing out just the sort of information I have been
seeking, it is a 1971 Series 10 (pre-10S, 10G designations). Nothing has
been done to it other than normal maintenance over the last 26 years. No
complaints.
