I used the white nylon ligature for years, the one with 4 dots on the
underside that press against the reed. It was great. I tightened the
lower screw just snug, and the upper screw as little as possible. It
seemed to allow the reed more flexibility and openness (if that is a
word) and they lasted a lot longer.

I lost that ligature about 2 years ago. Does anyone know the brand name
of the one mentioned? I would like to buy another. I guess I could
take the easy out and ask someone at the music store but this is more
fun.
