Subj: [kl] (Dan?) Johnson and Charles Bradley Mouthpieces

I have recently come across a couple of mouthpieces whose makers are
unfamiliar to me. If anyone out there has any information on the maker's
background, manufacturing philosophy, general pricing policy, etc., I would
be most grateful. The two makers are (Dan?) Johnson (I found a message in
Sneezy that mentioned a Dan Johnson mouthpiece, made in Buffalo) and Charles
Bradley (nothing on him in Sneezy that I could find). The identification on
the Johnson mouthpiece is simply "Johnson" lightly hand scratched at the
bottom of the mouthpiece to the right of the table and H24 (with the 2 as a
small superscript between the H and the 4) lightly hand scratched at the
bottom of the mouthpiece to the left of the table. The only identification
on the Bradley is "Charles Bradley" stamped (?) in very neat small script on
the back of the mouthpiece -- quite elegant looking, actually.

Many thanks,
Jack Kissinger
St. Louis
