So, how about different string? Different material, thicker? How about
electrical cable?

Is it a hoax, or not?

I thought the US of A was the practical land -- you know, Scientific
American's 'The Amateur Scientist', and all that. I suggested something
a bit ago with helium. Well, I can understand the difficulties with
that, but this is kid's stuff, surely.
