Perhaps the answer to the last question is that there is not a major need
to from players in the field. Those who do not change may be perfectly
happy and successful with their own instruments. Perhaps people don't buy
into the idea that the newer Leblanc designs are any better in all ways
than the standard Buffets. If you believe it is a "better mousetrap" than
buy it - but the reason other clarinetists aren't "beating a path to his
door" is because they don't want to!
