So far, only Ed Lacy has posted things
of real value to this discussion. The rest of what I have read is
medieval and I really thought that witches sank. Perhaps I should concentrate
more on the wenn found on the chin as greater evidence than the water test.
And one wonders why some people have difficulty in accepting this sort
of thing as gospel.

My point was that I doubt that Bonade (or any teacher at Curtis) would have
accepted a Clarinet that played like that as anything but firewood. At some
point, it must have gone through a change to cause it to play so badly, or
I would think that Curtis would have discarded it long ago.
