1) The cars are supposed to be checked over by the dealer when they
arrive off the truck to ensure that they're in good shape.
2) I personally test drive a car before I buy it. Just because the
engine, transmission, brakes, et al. work doesn't mean I like the car -
the brakes may be overpowered, the steering sloppy, the body work
squeaks, the windows leak, etc.

As long as we're on the car analogy ...

Haven't (and couldn't afford, anyway) the perfect car, either.
