Well --- my Buffet B flat must be around 80 years old, and it certainly
isn't* "blown out". What *has* happened is that the sockets are worn, and
so is the keywork, especially the bearing surfaces at the ends of the
rods.
What are supposed to be the physical signs of "blow-out"?
