Works better if you drop a piece of string from the barrel/mpiece joint down
and out the bell, then pull the joints out! The string seems to make the
pitch drop about a quarter of a tone, so you don't need to pull out as far!
I never tried it with two strings to see if that dropped it a
semitone......I've also never tried it on bass clarinet (this is something
I'm going to have to investigate!).
