Tim,
I purchased the 2 disk set called "The Clarinet in Concert", because the
Mendelson Concerstuck for Clarinet and basset horn was on it, a couple
of months ago. I wish I could share your enthusiam about Thea King's
tone, but I can't. Of all the Clarinet CD's I have bought in the last year
this is the one I Iisten to the least. I can't quite put my finger on what
I don't like about the tone but it is not one that I want to copy. I prefer
a much more focused tone.
Perhaps my ignorance is showing again, however.
