<< I am a band director so I have many beginners in one class but a good
beginner book that works in my classes in the Standard of Excellence
books there are three of them in the series. The students seem to enjoy
them and they are very easy to understand. They do not include solo
works thought you would have to look other places for that. >>

I like to use the Galper clarinet books with my students. There are
excellent musical examples, good long tone exercises and lots of technique.
I think that they are really some of the best books out there. For a slower
student they do tend to progress fast but I find I can use them with almost
all of my students. Janis C
