Dan, I am as open to innovation as anyone.

However, I am unclear as to what I would use a Basset clarinet in A for,
other than to play the Mozart ( an opportunity I have had ONCE in my life,
thank God, but my never have again).

Why should I go to the expense and trouble of getting another horn? I already
have five clarinets, and keeping them in working condition can be a major
headache.
