i think what gary is trying to say is that instead of teaching students to just turn
by a click or two....teach them how to descern the waves.....teach how an in tune
note and anout of tune note sound........and the waves that go along with out of
tuneness...

tuning is relative anyway......if a group is playing in a hall and the conditions
dont allow them to be perfectly in tune at 0...then if everyone is tuned sharp of
flat to the same degree then the group will be playing in tune with itself....either
way the waves will not occur....

teaching to tune by clicks is a great mathematical way to teach someone if we supply
the study behind the clicks....students will not be able to click every time they hit
a not so "happy" note.....

jacque
just my 2 sense
