I guess times have changed a lot since I was in high school. If we wanted
something transposed we had to write it out ourselves. Where I live now, I
believe that some of the better high school clarinetists have A clarinets.

And those that do fund orchestras use music that is already transposed
for the Bb....or the director gets someone to rewrite it.
