Hello,

I was ondering if anyone can shed light on my query below...

Well, I hv a CD "Big Band Hit Parade" played by the Cincinnati Pops under
Erich Kunzel (Telarc).

Eddie Deniels plays the clarinet solo in "Begin the Beguine". It is an
awsome one and it reaches to the high C abv the clarion register (in the
extended range does tt make it in the altissimo register?)

Anyway, after listening to it many times, I hv come to notice the tone
colour of the notes in the solo. I hv tried to imitate it both on a Bb and a
Eb and I hv come to realise tt the tone colour of the notes seem to fit the
Eeffer's range. the only thing is tt it reaches to the low Eb of the
instrument...

>From the picture on the back cover, it seems like a Bb to me but I guess he
can change instruments?

Can someone pls enlighten me on what instrument he's playing?
I'm interested as I find his tone most interesting and I wonder how he
manages to play tt high!
