Yes,

It, like many others, was originally written for Clarinet in D........If you
notice in the Daphnis excerpt, he says if you HAVE a D clarinet, the opening
32nd nonsense is in C major, as oposed to C# Major.......makes a big
difference....

But, since most of us don't own D clarinets, the Eb transposition is a nice
one!!
