I would buy a C clarinet in a second if I had the money. The tone color is
much different. It would be also be great to have for klezmer and jazz
playing because of the brighter sound......and I have no problems transposing
to C clarinet. I really doubt very many people woul purchase intruments for
fear of transposing. It would make much more sense to get a music software
program or hire a copyist for that matter. You'd still be saving money
rather tha purchasing a new clarinet.
