One of my pet peeves: the first couple of years the show was in the
production, the theme song was played on real instruments. The clarinet
sounded good, and I especially liked the gritty sound of those guitar
strings being popped. However, from a production point-of-view, it had its
little imperfections, and the next thing we knew we had a completely bland,
no-longer-exciting, totally electronic theme song.
