In my opinion, clarinetists who think you shouldn't use a C clarinet when
called for problably have never played one. Here is the really big
question!!! Why are clarinetists so cheap??? Lets face you can buy an R 13 Bb
and A, a new prestige C and still spend les then a flutist spends on a
Brannen flute. and lets face it we're not even going it what a bassoonist
will spend. I know for me, the C clarinet is the instrument of choice for
playing klezmer music. If there were a really decent and cheap (inexpensive)
C clarinet out there, I would start all 12 and under students on it. I really
think for a beginer it would be easier to start on.
