Here's a good one for the list to mull over:

How do you know if your clarinet needs, or could profit from, a replacement
barrel, whether it be Moennig, Chadash, Fobes, Scott, whoever?

I have tried many barrels on my Bb clarinet. I keep coming back to the fact
that for this clarinet, tone and intonation are best with the barrel that
came with it. I have another, older, retired clarinet that I am certain could
use a replacement.

How to tell, other than order some barrels and try them out?
