Jack is correct, the Progressive book (not by Hite) is a beginner book, and it
is not a
very good one at that (I have it in my collection). I did a detailed review
for David Hite on his books in the OCR back in 1996. Here is the link

Just wanted to make myself clear - the book Melodious & Progressive Studies
books 1& 2 by Dave Hite, I like very much. It is the Book titled "the
Progressive Clarinet Method" by someone else that I do not like that much.
