I had the privilege of playing the Fox clarinets at the ICA convention last
summer. His instruments are very finely crafted. They look nice and they
are nice to play. The keys lay under the fingers without having to stretch
the hand in any direction and the wood feels soft and sleek to the touch.
This may not be important to some, but it is to me. I like my clarinets to
lay under the fingers the same from one to the next. He has a German model
and a French model to choose from. The only negative thing I could say
about them is that they are on the heavy side. They are very nice horns.
