The book for sale on eBay is not one of the Hite "Melodious and Progressive
Studies" (which is what several list members have recently recommended). Hite's
books are published by Southern Music Company. They include some very pleasant
studies by Demnitz, Nocetini and Baermann (Book I) and Gambaro and Dont (Book
II). They sell for under $10 each according to the Luyben catalog (no CD).
According to the editor, they are appropriate for someone who has completed a
beginning clarinet method (and, I'm pretty sure are at a higher level than the
book on eBay which appears to be for beginners). IMHO, both the Hite books are
first rate.

Best regards,
Jack Kissinger
