yep - EAR is, AFAIK, just a cheap all-purpose ear plug. I've stuck them in
my ears many a time plying my trade when I sold industrial equipment. Great
for working in the paper mill, not so good for a musician.

I went to an audiologist who works out of a ear, nose, & throat practice.
Got custom-fitted musician's plugs worth about $75.00. Not cheap, but as
others have pointed out hearing is priceless. I was almost surprised when
they tested me and found no significant hearing loss, after all the
tr!#$ets I've sat in front of...
