I have been watching this thread for any comment on mouthpiece patches.
When I first started using them (thanks to Roger G.) I noticed that I
didn't hear myself in the same way. I suspect that without the patch,
there is "bone conduction" through the teath and into the ear than with a
piece of rubber as a sound insulator. I know that some use the patches as
mouthpiece-savers, and some because they can't stand the vibration in the
teeth, but I wonder if there is a difference in being able to hear yourself
in a loud band as a function of use or not of these patches?
