Subj: [kl] Alternate clarinet supports

Has anyone seen any other innovative support methods for Clarinet besides
the neck straps? The straps, which hook to the thumb support, tend to pull
at a bad angle and it seems something better would be possible. There is
this contraption advertised in Woodwind/Brasswind that looks a little like
the landing gear of the lunar lander. Has anyone had any experience with
this?
