Subj: [kl] Tuners / not what they are cracked up to be
Date: Sun, 25 Apr 1999 14:09:08 -0400

In my humble opinion, all the playing around with mini electronic tuners have
misled alot of people into thinking they can play in tune. I know some very
highly paid clarinetist that can stop the needle on a tuner, but if the tuner
sounds a pitch, can't play they same note in tune with it! not to mention
very common intervals.
Clarinets don't play in tune! People play in tune. also in my experience any
time a tuner came out in a rehearsal the problem never got better!
