Regarding Ed Maurey's claim of "perfect tuning" with the Concerto/Opus -
both I and the guy next to me in the local band (he has a DMA in
clarinet performance; I don't even know my scales) play Opusses
(Opera?), but neither of us would make the claim that every note is in
tune so that the needle on the tuner acts as if it were stuck. Tuning
is darned good, but I think Roger Garrett's wry response is not without
merit.
