Many years ago I was at a music educator's convention and I tried everything he had. I
didn't like any of them. However, what impressed me was that he took measurements of my
Portnoy. Much later my Portnoy got chipped in the tip so i had him make a copy. He sent
his copy and one of his he thought similar. The copy was great and the other one was
definitely inferior. I'm still playing the copy. In the process of doing this I also
tried his ligatures and bought both the silver and the gold. The silver works better on
the Bb and the gold better on the A. (The silver is not good on the A but the gold is OK
on the Bb. So I use the gold when I have to double.)

Sorry I'm not much of a help on contemporary Bay mouthpieces.
