Fantasia was originally released in 1940, so presumably the recordings were
made in 1939-40. Robert McGinnis was principal clarinet from 1931-40. McLane
was principal from 1943 until, nominally, 1951. I've always been told it was
McGinnis playing in Fantasia, and the dates seem to support his being the
player you hear.
