Sue and Rachel,

I went to Virginia Tech for a degree in Electrical Engineering. While I
did not participate in the Univerity Band, I did take instructional
classes in Clarinet for a year. I agree with Sue that Tech has a solid
technical reputation, and if you a in-stater, it is a budget buy to
consider. But I'd look and evaluate other schools as well. You need to
make your own decision-so get a good sampling and research where you
might want to go. North Carolina, University of Cincinnati and Indiana
University have good reputations and faculty in Music-that is what I hear.
