I was just fitted for new triple progressive lenses about 3 weeks ago and
have had such a difficult time reading music with them that I was soundly
chewed out for misreading the e-flat part in Bernstein's "Slava". I went
back to my optician and he refitted me with "room distance" progressives
that give me a clear view of everything except the most distant objects
(more than 15 ft or so). They seem to work very well indoors for musical
work, reading and the computer. For outdoors or extended vision indoors
(like driving, shopping at the mall or such), I still need my tri-focal
progressives. Hope this helps somebody with the musical vision dilemma.
