I remember hearing Marcellus play Debussy with the Cleveland. He sat next to
the conductor. He had his legs crossed at the ankles. We, of course, were all
SCANDALIZED!

I agree, at this point in my life I feel that there is NO point in practicing
if my set up is not, as you say, perfectly balanced. Lately I have been using
Legere reeds, fairly hard (3 3/4 or 4) with a facing I developed just for ME
and for this reed. What a difference!
