I think it'd "be nice" just to answer the question of a bright young man
who is on his way to college. Goodness knows, I've seen a lot worse
questions on this list--and the petty fussing has tied up this list to a
much greater extent than a simple, polite, informative answer would.

Mark, Victor is probably the nicest, most talented, most intelligent
young man you'd ever want to know--he is a friend of my daughter--and I
think you just had a moment of pomposity.

Many of the questions here are pretty easy to answer somewhere else--and
many are asked over and over. What we have to remember is that people
join the list at various times,and we have musicians of all ages and
experience levels. No one knows everything.

Let's not thwart and embarrass anyone, OK?
