It's been a long time since I've played Fiddler, but make sure the divided
part isn't doubled in some other instrument (like flute or oboe). We just
finished Guys and Dolls, which had lots of reed parts. We had four clar/sax
players and the flute parts were written out for flute players alone. We
had 23 players in the pit. It was a tight squeeze. You may encounter the
same thing for Fiddler.
