On Monday, April 12 at 8 PM at Illinois State University at Kemp Recital
Hall, Richard Hawkins will be performing a recital. I will be the lucky
person playing basset horn with him on the Concertpiece No 1 by Mendelssohn
(yes, the 3rd page is up to tempo). Anyone within driving range is
certainly welcome and urged to attend and hear Richard play. If you
haven't heard him, you will be very pleasantly surprised.

Earlier that day, on our campus at Illinois Wesleyan University, from 10-12
NOON Richard will do a master class with two students from ISU and two from
IWU. Should be fun. Then, at 3 PM at the same institution, Richard will
do a mouthpiece session, discuss mouthpieces, facings, etc. as well as be
available to tweak mouthpieces or (of course) sell them to folks who are
looking. Again - all free and open to the public.
