I think that Legere reeds are pretty amazing. IMHO it's worth the
money. The biggest thing I don't like is the altissimo register. When
you get above a C they get very bright. They might feel a little
different playing on them at first, but you soon don't notice. I used
mine to play for church last Sunday because I had to play "cold" w/o any
warm-up. Worked great. I would never trust a cane reed to do that.
The tone on them is better than I can get with a non-adjusted cane
reed. I use a Vandoren M13 mouthpiece and don't notice any of the fuzzy
sound. I think Fibracells feel like paper, Legeres are 10.5 times
better. And they last really long. I go through reeds very quickly and
rarely have a reed that sounds as good as the Legere for very long. I
don't worry about practicing on horrible reeds any more.

All of this is in my not at all humble opinion.
