It depends on the situation of the passage.....what notes follow it, what
notes precede it, whether it is sustained or in a fast rhythmic passage.

I HIGHLY recommend you purchase Peter Hadcock's book on orchestral studies
for the Eb clarinet. I just played Daphnis and Chloe with orchestra and they
helped IMMENSELY!!
