Other good mouthpieces in the same general
price range as the B45 which you should consider trying are: Vandoren
M13, V13; and Woodwind Co. K5M. A little more expensive is the Gigliotti
#2. Cheaper mouthpieces which would be an improvement over your beginner
mouthpiece are: Hite Premiere, and Clark Fobes has a plastic mouthpiece
which plays extremely well. I don't recall the name of
this mouthpiece, but Clark Fobes posts to this list, and perhaps he can
tell you the name. If I remember correctly, Tom Ridenauer, who also
posts here, has a student mouthpiece. As the new owner of a set of
Concerto clarinets, I think he designs things quite well!
