Yes, but that assumes you intend to race. A Yugo can cruise down a highway
at the speed limit just as quickly as a Lambourghini, and much more
efficiently as well. Of course, it won't be as much fun! But that's why
we have inexpensive, student-line instruments. If everyone had to start
out buying instruments costing $2000 or more, there would not be very many
beginners. The automobile did not become popular until Henry Ford brought
out one regular people could afford. A fine pro-line instrument is
something all young clarinetists should aspire to own, but the Bundy will
serve them well in marching band (just like it did for me)!
