I thought the whole idea for the Mazzeo clarinet bell ( thin design, I
believe and no bell ring) was to increase the vibrations of the clarinet and
for improving resonance on low E and F and to improve B and C ( third line
and third space ) I believe Selmer did quite a bit of research before
marketing the bell. If I remember correctly they made some plastic bells as
well as wood and there was a signifigant difference in response due to the
material used . Rossario did quite a few clinics with his design as well as
promoting his clarinets. The material did make a difference in this case.

I enjoy the informative listings and hope all have a good Holiday!
