For those of us who have been on KLARINET for quite a few years, and have
grown appreciably in our love and knowledge of the clarinet thanks to the
quality and depth of the posts and replies, I would invite everyone to spend
some time in the archives say around 1994 - 1995 on any topic (I routinely
search them for background on composers and peformers like Paul Jeanjean, the
literature and use of the C-clarinet, the basset horn in love and war, etc.)
and re-read the definitive treatises by Dan Leeson, Jonathan Cohler, Larry
Leiberson, Ed Lacy, Ron Monsen, Connie Josias, (names off the top of my head)
and so many other distinguished artists, educators, and just folks like me
who love the clarinet.

This is a sad day for KLARINET and I hope we can some day return to the
original intent and spirit of this very special group.
