They are not acoustically identical. The concerto has a brighter sound
than the opus. The opus is used more for the orchestral setting. When
I tried all of the clarinets there was DEFINATELY a difference. I
decided right away that I wanted the opus. The tone is much better in
my opinion. When I upgrade the sounds of the opus Bb and the opus A
will be almost identical.
