Roger,
Try the "Concertante" by Norman Dello Joio. Really nice piece.
Originally for clarinet and orchestra, it is available for clarinet and piano.
Also, my favorite piece by a Latin American composer: Ritmo Jondo
(Flamenco) by Carlos Surinach. It is for Clar., Tpt., Timpani, Xylophone
and hand clappers (yes, your eyes are working - people whose job it is to
clap rhythmically). Really adorable piece. Available from AMP.
