Walter sent me a note saying someone subscribed him "as a joke". Well,
it's not that easy to subscribe to Klarinet - you have to send a message
to klarinet-subscribe@-----.org (or
klarinet-digest-subscribe@-----.org) and reply to a follow-up message
that has some encoded data in the address.

That means that Walter either left his computer while logged onto his
service provider & someone came by, subscribed him, and then read
through his mail & answered the follow-up message, or Walter is allowing
someone else to use his mailbox (via a login and password). In either
case, Walter has left himself open to things much more malicious.

Just a warning to all ... don't leave your computer while logged in
(especially in a public area - but I've got teenagers at home and who
knows what practical jokes _they_ might play :) and don't give out your
login & password to anyone. The "joke" might be worse next time.
