Thank you one and all who contributed input on mouthpieces and reeds in
response to my questions. I received today my Hite Premier and Rico
Royal #2.5 reeds. I put the Vandoren B45 away and installed the Hite and
a new (treated) reed. I played and was amazed at how easily I crossed
from Bb or A to the upper register. I would not have believed a
mouthpiece could make such a difference. I'm a happy beginner once
again. The clarinet is a wonderful instrument again and I love playing
it again. Thank you all, again.
